Dental health care is an important part of your pet's health. Pets can have dental problems similar to those we as humans experience. They can get plaque, tartar, gingivitis, periodontal disease, growths, fractured teeth, and abscesses.
A basic oral examination can reveal potential health problems.
However, a more detailed look at your pet's teeth may be recommended and require general anesthesia.
While your pet is under general anesthesia, we can perform a dental cleaning and a thorough examination. Instruments similar to those used by human dentists are used for scaling and polishing your pet's teeth. We also check for periodontal pockets and have treatment available for that. We have the ability to take dental x-rays in order to evaluate the roots and identify problems.
We also carry products that can be used at home to help reduce the buildup of tartar.
